Hah! Stage presence means something, but without real musicianship, it rings hollow.
This guy is a real musician. He's got a great groove, great vibrato (he's pulsing in time with the beat--except when he hits a note, by choice, with no vibrato); he knows how to phrase, meaning he knows how to articulate a line, explore WITHIN the line using every available rhythmic emphasis and duration, and then cut it off and leave space. He's got a strong high tenor voice and very in-tune intonation. What's not to like?
I've never heard of Billy Watson, but I've only listened to 90 seconds and know he's a great player.
Plus great stage presence, of course.

Billy is a San Diego cat, works as a manager in a surf shop during the day. I have done some harp work for him, and (along with Rockin Ron, in person at last year's Spring Harp Fest), sold him an SCX-64. He is a super nice guy too!
He's an awesome player and singer, but I don't think his stage presence is that great. His moves are not well defined and he doesn't look at the audience when he sings or plays.
I'm not a great frontman, I don't have the right to judge, but I learned some acting basics on college.
Anyway, does he have any albums? I'll look for something. He's got some sick tone.
