Nick you had better talk with the queen about that one, she won't let Jason and his band come to Canada either. I had to drive almost seven hours to go see Jason and the Bad Kind in Ellicotville NY about an hour south of Buffalo.

I just don't get her, nor do I like her.

@Sherwin - I believe this crosses the line of good manners. Have you met Kaitlin? Did she tell you that she disallows Jason to come to Canada? I have met her. She is a delightful person and much better mannered than you.I feel that she must not be castigated in such a fashion on a public forum. It would be considerate if you apologized. I have sent a copy of this thread to Kaitlin and Jason.

----Owen....Nick is from Bristol in the UK. Sherwin is talking about The Queen....not Jason's partner.

A word to the wise, and with the creed in mind: please leave the Queen out of it. Thanks.

--the once and future King

PS: As for Jason's wife, if that's what some are talking about: probably a good idea to leave forum members' wives (and husbands) out of the conversation, too, unless the idea is to offer brief, friendly compliments. Not strictly prohibited by the creed, but still potentially a trouble-spot, if and when criticism is being tendered.

Personnally I don't think the Queen would be in the slijghtest bit bothered. More to do with Cameron and his gang. But that's politics and obviously for another forum

It was my intention to insult the queen of England by conflating the monarch with the arms of the government responsible for: the courts, and for immigration, who ( I'm guessing ) will not let Jason into the UK.

I live in Canada, a constitutional monarchy, we call the lawyers in court, on the government side, the 'crown council'. (To the best of my knowledge, that's how it is)

I thought I might get a chuckle in response, and hadn't considered that I would insult anyone. This forum is not my living room, I know that, but I was horsing around and trying to be playfully rude.

Nick, I'm sorry if I offended you.

Michael

Edited to add the word 'in' before the word 'court'

Look Sherwin,
- I am not offended
- I am sure Jason would be let into the uk (because we are part of the European Union)
- Jason has not been booked into the uk because his management have not done that, he is only touring in Holland, Germany not France, Spain, Italy, UK etc etc
- by the way the Queen of England loves Jason Ricci and the bad kind
- Canada is part of the Commonwealth and we love you Michael
