Well, that's a subjective artistic decision. Does using that pedal or what you can make that pedal do allow you to generate a "feel" or allow you to express musical ideas you can't create otherwise? Used properly, pedals should not be just sound effects. They are an expanded means of musical/artistic creative expression. If the Uni-vibe doesn't express something you can relate to or use to make a statement you could not otherwise express, it ain't a good pedal for you.
