Hi Paul, big fan of your music and great to see you post here!
This is the shit right here Muddy Waters Band, Los Angeles, CA Ashgrove 1971. With a great little interview with Muddy. Pee Wee Madison, Calvin "Fuzz" Jones, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, Sammy Longhorn, Paul Oscher and Pinetop Perkins.
This is almost the same line up as the 1968 Copenhagen gig on the Muddy Waters Classic concerts DVD minus Otis Spann, SP Leary, Luther "Snake Boy" Johnson and Sonny Wimberley!
For the one or two on here who may be unfamiliar with Paul Oscher...this will give you goosebumps!

To post a picture it has to be hosted somewhere else first. Some sites have an easy button that will give you the html you need to do it, but others don't.
If it doesn't, you can right click the picture you want to post and insert it in some html.

Just replace the part between the quotation marks with the url of the picture. :)
Hi Paul, welcome to the forum! Big fan here, I've seen you play in Brooklyn and also sitting in with Little Charlie and Rick Estrin at Manny's Car Wash. I love how you are willing to mix it up, using non-traditional blues instruments like the bass harmonica and melodica, etc.
Weird connection, the drummer of my band is the son of your old drummer Danny Cadillac.
Anyway, welcome to the forum and look forward to your participation here!
heres the last for now . Its me and James Cotton playing together at the House of Blues in boston Grand opening of the new location by the way i live 3 doors down from cotton in austin and it wasn't planned just fate
Cool. Welcome aboard Paul. The What Have I Done video has recently been one of my favorite study songs/videos since you posted it on your fb page. Any of you here who haven't liked Paul's page yet oughtta. He puts up some great stories from back in the day. ----------
Great to see you here, Paul. I saw you play at the blues fest here in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada a couple of years ago. You made me a fan that day, and I love your Bet On The Blues album. I hope you can share some info about how you create that huge sound playing solo and on a rack. ----------

Hi Paul, thanks for joining. I've heard you for a long time and always liked your combination of traditional playing and innovation with instruments and gear. Love the sound you get out of your custom rack mount!

Great to have you join Paul. It would be great to hear what you think about some of the issues raised here. As always on forums, there's a fair bit of (in my opinion) uninteresting stuff but enough interesting stuff and people to keep me coming back. Your contributions would definitely enrich the place. Best R
I saw you at at shitty harmonica collective thing nyc late 90's. Lol you were awful. Super cool though! ----------

Paul: Welcome to the forum and thanks for paving the way for guys like me. I use to live with Louisiana Red in Long Island and he talked fondly of you. I also was based out of Austin for 11 years in the 80's-90's. Say hi to all down there for me and I hope to meet you some day and say thanks in the flesh. Paul- How cool that you're on the forum.Been a fan since I saw the Woodsongs video. Great bass harp, too.A couple questions- what sort of rig did you use for the harp on the woodsongs video? sounds like an organ.Did you or steve play harp on " What have I done?" on the Living Legends cd?That's one of my all time favorite blues tunes. Looking forward to reading your post.-Greg
Hey Paul, great to see you here. A few years ago, I posted up a thread on a version of She's Nineteen Years Old. I didn't know it was you playing harp at the time, but as the thread progressed your name came up. It turned out to be a great thread where everyone learned a whole bunch of stuff.
Welcome to our gang! A legend...indeed, you are. Let me just add...I have one question, please. Describe your thoughts when you 1st realized the harmonica resonated within your very Soul. Something we can all relate to, perhaps. Thankyou! Aloha's, Kevin

Welcome, Paul! It's an honor to have you as a member here. My wife and I will be in Austin from January 8 through the evening of January 10. (Flying home on the 11th). Are you playing in town, or near town, on any of those nights? I'd love to stop by.
Welcome Paul! We had a discussion on here once if this was you playing. I thought it might be Cotton but several of the veterans say it's you. Also, some said you switched harps and played first position. I could be wrong but I thought the whole thing was in cross harp. Regardless, this solo had a huge influence on me! Thank you.
