John is great. Reminds me of Deak. Anyone know what that mic-harp holder rig is?

@Lmbrjak.
Imo he doesn't sound anything like Deak..but hey they are both great.
The rig is a bullet so maybe we can assume a C/M,C/R or, i suspect a crystal element.(the bite)
The chrome tube could be from an auto/Bike shop and the actual (rubber) Harp holder ,well i have found so many fittings from plumbers shops that fit as gaskets and whatever for DYI harmonica stuff i don't think i'd have a problem setting up a similar rig.
But of course i have no idea what his amp/sound system is so all the above could be null and void.
And i must say that his rig just looks a bit 'cleaner' than Deaks.

I saw him in Anchorage about two years ago, and talked with him specifically about his gear. I have a close up pics somewhere (looking), but if I remember correctly, the holder was a foam beer coozie wrapped in duct tape (?) and a notch cut for harp. If I find pics, I'll post.

He made some recordings with Blind Pig years ago. His harp playing was a combination of Sugar Blues and Paul Butterfield! That is saying something!
If his singing and song writing were as good as instrumental prowess he would be a house hold name!
He was that good!

If I was a solo act guy I'd want to be that good.
