Quiet as a mouse from bob cooper on Vimeo.

Lots of talk here about what is a good amp for home.

What is a good amp to panhandle with?

Here is my submission. It has a cd player, drop in a jimi lee backing track, and voila, instant one man band.

It comes with a wireless mic that sounds great. Battery powered, has a handle and even wheels to cart it around.

That is a very sad story Bob, but I would buy the song. I listened the whole way through which is pretty rare for me when there is a lot of harmonica on the record.

i'll have to check on the name of the amp, i cant seem to recall.
it also has a digital echo built in.

Nice work. Nothing hysterical, no pedals, nice tone, and thankfully, no gussing and weezing. I liked some of the subtle TBing and vibrato. Very organic, good post.

Anymore attending a jam for the first time, strive for this, don't overplay. Yeah nobody asked for that advise, but I went to a jam this weekend where some guy gussed, overplayed and blustered his way thru 3 songs and pretty much stepped on everybody's solo and vocals and sounded like shit. And his pedal setup made him sound ridiculous. Honestly, I would rather listen to 6 versions of Red House in a row from a beginning guitarist than this stuff.

the amp is an audio 2000

it is basically a pa. i normally do not care to play thru the pa.
but somehow this thing just works.

thanks tom.. keep those thumbs away from the cnc machine!

i used a brand new marine band harmonica..
first one in like 20 years. the marine band was my first love.

it was on sale for just over 20 bucks.
could not resist.

still prefer the seydel silver plus.
how do you tell your first love, you have somebody new.

You say "I don't love you anymore, don't bring you're sorry arse around here again"

Those 1847 Silvers are ok I think. I own 1, it's a low F and I don't mind it, different to the thunderbird, but OK in its different way.
I've repaired and serviced a few 1847s; I haven't struck a really bad one. I never wish they were mine though. I objectify harmonicas, but I'm happily settled in with mine.

the silver plus is a session steel with upgraded cover plates. with the recessed reed plates,
the harp feels smaller, the 1847 classic and silver to me feel quite large, even though it is the same size
as a pro harp or big river.

i really like the 1847 cover plates, it is more like a mouth piece, than a cover plate.
i do not care too much for the session steel cover plates, even though i am not that picky.

Thanks for sharing. Exceptional, subtle and very relaxed. Would have been nice if the mic was able to dial up the vocals a bit though imo - I really liked. Will be play listing this one for a future instructional reference piece for self.

I like this too, and I especially like the upper octave phrase starting at 2m 35s. I'm always on the look-out for these and I've added this to the list.

That's annoying...lost my post..
Yeah, I thought the vocal was adequately loud, I just can't quite hear what you say you have the keys to...sounds like 'under element' which means nothing to me...the rest I get
Bob, there is clearly some interest in your soloing here, and I think it's understandable because it's pretty nice for all the reasons mentioned.
I think the track is 8 bar in A changes I - I - IV - IV - I - V - I - I/IV but not quite sure about the end...
I could approach this thinking about scales or following the changes or from memorised licks...or a combination of those things...or maybe if I'd played enough I wouldn't even think at all, I'd just know what to do...anyway, I'm wondering how you approached playing this por favor?

i have the keys to my honda element, she thru them out my back door.

this an eight bar blues... if i recall correctly it is in E
typically the 2 nd bar of an eight bar blues goes to the 5 chord.

the simple things sometimes, are hardest to explain, i will try to fashion a response
a little later when i have a chance.

one of my all time favorite songs is the tune, bring it on home, by the late sam cook.

i bet i heard that first from dave mason.
since it is an eight bar blues similar to what jimi lee recorded on the backing track,
and this is a song about her leaving, and never, ever, never, never ..never ever ...coming back
i just tried to incorporate the melody from that song, and plead with her..... PLEASE!
i'll give you money! .............. baby bring your clothes back home.
