Look online for "hockey tape". It's not the most elegant solution, but it should work. Also notable that it comes off pretty easily. ---------- 12gagedan's YouTube Channel
What kind of mic do you have? If it's a "stick" type mic, see the post on Nov 25 re: grip for stick mic. If it's a bullet type mic, I don't really have an answer.
Not really ever been a problem for myself but years ago when I stayed near Newcastle in the UK I used to see a band regular and their harp player/singer always had some funky looking fake fur or similar wrapped around his mic (green bullet I think).
Can't remember the guy's name but his band was called "No Time For Jive"
It looks like he is chomping an exotic looking little mouse or something but not sure if he used that to stop slippage or just thought it was funky looking...another idea!
Found a vid his name is BRIAN LYNAM (a.k.a. Scotswood Slim)

I don't have much problem holding a standard bullet but if I'm using an EV630 or 605 I use a rubber band like gutbucket suggested. The ones that go around a bunch of asparagus work well. Don't leave it on for years though because I think there is sulfur in the rubber that can react with the finish.
