A 45-minute set of Gary Primich with Doug Deming from 2007. Gary handles most, but not all, of the vocal duties. They're both in excellent form here and really locked in together. Did Gary and Doug do a tour together?

Awesome! Thanks for posting this! There is very little footage of Gary's shows around. I was fortunate to see him once before he passed.

Doug was one of Gary's last guitar players before Gary passed-not sure how long Doug was with Gary,but I introduced Doug to Mark Korpi,who wrote a lot of songs and played guitar for Gary in the 90's through 2002.
I have had the pleasure of playing with both Mark and Doug-a harp players dream.

Konstantin: Great point, I have been watching some of the others as well. Check out "bjuck57" on youtube for more great Primich sets.

tmf714: Thanks for the history on Doug, and boy am I jealous that you've played with both Doug and Mark...that must have been a blast!

@harpoon-my pleasure.

I can play with Mark every Thursday night-his band opens the local blues jam here in Cocoa Beach:)

The chatter in the background here sounds quite Swedish .. And Gary P sounds quite convincing. As usual.

Living in Dallas,I was lucky enough to see Gary perform in Dallas,Ft. Worth,Austin,Chicago during the span of a few years.I wasn't a harp student then, just a blues fan and Gary was my favorite.I saw most of the various lineups in his band,without disparaging anyone,I'd have to say Shorty Lenoir was his favorite.I did see Mark Korpi play on two occasions with Gary, Mark's playing style added a sharper,gritty sound with his Telecaster.He's a fine songwriter too.I really miss Gary and I listen to his recordings nearly every day. His inspiration was/is my motivation to learn harmonica.

Thanks for posting this. I got to see Gary at one of only 2 UK gigs on his European tour in 2006, and he signed the "Doghouse Music" CD for me. Great tone, articulation and phrasing. A true master.
