Ok, it's no big thing but to us cat's here this is just wrong!
I don't know a thing about this cat interviewing Rod Piazza from last year but he quotes Kim Wilson to Rod but listen to what he says in reference to Kim Wilson at the 4.00 min mark...what a dick I concluded!!!!

I don't get why he is a dick? The guy obviously has issues with speech, but I think he meant to say underrated, but said unrated. If Kim did say it I'm sure he meant it as a compliment as most people do.

Harpaholic ; Listen again you obviously missed it....nothing wrong with the guy's speech either! I said "in reference to Kim Wilson" mind you, maybe you don't know who Kim Wilson is?

I wouldn't say he's a dick. He apparently did "a little" research to have come up with the Kim Wilson quote but obviously doesn't know who Kim is. Funny. I would agree from just listening to less than a minute that he's not a great interviewer but probably better than I would be.

Man a sense of humour is a dangerous thing around here!

I give up.

HA! I love that he said "she."

But, here's the deal. I spent a couple decades interviewing people for papers and magazines (most of whom nobody ever heard of . . . both the publications and the interview subjects).

I don't know who this guy is working for (I just watched the relevant section) but at least on newspapers it's not unusual for an editor to send somebody out on an interview with almost zero lead time and no background research. The editor to writer conversation usually goes something like this:

"Hey, this harmonica player will be at XYZ club in an hour. I talked to his manager and I guess he's supposed to be a big deal. Go interview him. And no, you don't get overtime for working nights so shut up about it."

Magazines are better, and the bigger the magazine the more lead time and background you receive.

They guy is probably just trying to do his job with what few tools he's been given.

I once, by default, was the sports editor on the student newspaper in college. (I was the only one on staff who knew the difference between a touchdown and a home run).

Anyway, a guy walked in and handed me a card. He was the publicist for someone and was offering me an interview. (This was before Google was a thing.) Anyway, I knew baseball pretty well, and a bit of football, but I didn't know a thing about hockey, so I didn't call the number on the card, which is why I never interviewed Gordie Howe.

Well, he may in fact be a dick, but I don't think that can be supported by the interview.. Nate seems to have it right from where I'm seeing it — that's a pretty interrsting story about Gordie Howe.. The more you know, eh?

@Goldbrick; Jenner / Kim Kardashian thing...OK I had to google that, yep that's my sense of humour!

I called my site agent at work "a useless prick" to his face because he made a pretty major f*#k up over some holidays for me and a costly order for materials that was needed urgent, it was a throwaway comment brought about by frustration and deadlines and not a statement of fact and I'm sure he is over it...or not! Maybe it's my work environment (steel erector) were a mocking, ribald sense of humour is the norm!
