This is ambitious, to say the least. It could be a final exam--identifying the various riffs and songs he cycles through--in a Joe Filisko class.

I'm impressed. (The groove is a little fluid, though. Tighten up on it!)

And yes: after the first 12 bars, I said, "Big Walter ripoff!" But I kept listening, and the rest of it shut me up.

well done. I heard some Big Walter and Off the Wall in there for sure.

3.5 minutes of constant solo harp like that is always kinda tricky too with controlling the swallow reflex or saliva pooling or dry mouth or whatever but he was clean and grooving all the way through, respect!

I came across Hakan by accident while surfing through YouTube looking for harmonica lessons.

I remember he hit this one awesome part on a clip and I hit subscribe right there.

Always enjoy his clips.

Thanks for your nice comments!

I heard Arthur Smith's Guitar Boogie on youtube. Very cool! I played my favourite theme from that at 0.24, 1.07 and 2.55. Not exactly like him but anyway.
The first round is the intro from Big Walter's "Walter's Boogie" (early version from the 50-60s).
0.46: variation on the timeless boogie riff.
1.53: Lester Young's Jumpin' with Symphony Sid.
2.14-2.55: Little Walter's Off the Wall.

Yes the groove could have had a little more practice. It's also probably because I focused more on whats riffs I liked. They are not perfectly chosen to fit with each other I think. For example Big Walter's boogie is so strong because everthing is put together in one unit and there you have a powerful groove.

I never use my Ab harp but it has a nice rich tone. Right now I'm trying to adjust my Special 20 A harp to just intonation according to Andrews instructions on his site (arzajac). Then I will make a version of Walter's Boogie and that will be a total BW ripoff!

Hey, what I like is, you're always pushing ahead, recombining, trying new things. You've created an amazing body of experimental work: old, new, rock, deep blues, country, city, a little jazz, swing, rock 'n' roll, and everything in between.
