Hello all,

I've been hunting for a tweed harmonica case for a couple months now. More than once I've found posts from users on forums like this one, recommending the Fender Mississippi Sax case, or a Bushman case, etc etc. However, Most of these posts go back to like, 2009, and both of the aforementioned cases seem to have been long since discontinued. And I'm having a surprisingly tough time tracking down any other options online.

Of course, I could just spring for a $50 black Hohner case. But who wants black? I have a bit of a tweed fixation (from amps to cables to cases), and it just doesn't feel right to have a non-tweed harp case.

Any recommendations? Many thanks in advance!

But my Hohner case asks the question, "How much more black could it be?" And the answer is; "None"

But on the serious side, I'm afraid I haven't seen a tweed case in a while.

i have a full size tweed case
not one of those silly looking miniature cases
those look so queer.... like you are carrying a case full of toys. hard to look professional walking in to a juke joint with one of those.

i'll try to find a link. try calzone cases online

I like the little Fender case, whether tweed or black. It fits into your hand luggage easily when you fly. I can take my harps, a couple of pedals and clothes/outfits for a few days as carry-on and not have to risk checking a back in.

1847, wow, I'm surprised you found that! Many thanks. 'Tis expensive as hell, considering it's just the briefcase, not the actual harp case. Still, it might be the way to go if I must have tweed. And I must!

I'd have to get inserts for the harps, etc. That seems like the kind of thing folks on this forum probably make. Any strong recommendations?

Thanks Dr. Hoy! Can't believe you found that. I ordered one last night...we'll see if their inventory is actually up to date.

1847, what's inside the fold down leather flap thingy attached inside the lid? My fender tweed case doesn't have that. It's the one with the dividers and inset tray for harps. I don't have a pic of the inside, but here's what it looks like on the outside:

the spam filter will not prevail, not possible: tenacity will prevail.
well lets see... there is an expired insurance card
a one dollar bill and a small patch cable.... basically
nothing of any social or political importance.
it's great for song lists and lyrics.

Ah. It's just a "folder" type thingy... I was thinking it might have some pockets or elastic bands to hold harps or something... It's cool looking, though!

I have the hard plastic black hohner case...I hate it. The latches on it suck and are too big for the case. Also, lots of wasted space inside. Would not recommend.

Neat case Bob. I went all carpentry and cloth on my briefcase and removed the lid pocket but next time I'm gonna go with the spirit of what you have there. Mine is an old 'airport' briefcase, black outside, used to be grey inside, now orange. I divided it up into 3 rectangles and built a tray from scrap, carved a niche for the hinge to swing through. It's pretty cool but it had a whole life on the road with the auditors and was on the reject pile when I rescued it. I'm patching the exterior with stickers I get from Seydel and Hohner and Heumann etc...but it won't last forever...neither will I...maybe this chromatic thing will stick and I won't need a dozen harps every time I go out...maybe not

@digitalshrub ; if your in USA why don't you consider this type of vintage case that come in all sizes and pop up on ebay all the time they are wayyyy more cool thank the 'tweed' cases just my humble opinion of course.
