Have any of you ever heard this record? Chicago Blues-Powerhouse Records (POW 4105), 1991
It is supposed to be a terrific album with Jimmy Rogers, Bob Margolin, Kim Wilson, Willie Big Eyes Smith I read about it in the book " The Jimmy Rogers Story" - Blues All Day Long- by Wayne Everett Goins ( this is s terrific read! )
I went all around the web looking for a copy of a CD and only found a vinyl record priced at over $100.00 No download from iTunes either
If it's half as good as the Ludella CD from Antones ANT0012, it must be a fine record. ----------

I think you are referencing Bob Margolin's "Chicago Blues"

I don't think Jimmy Rogers is on it but it is a great record.

Ryan is right. Bob Margolin's Chicago Blues is a great release. Some nice Kim Wilson on display and, yes, Jimmy Rogers does play on the release. Powerhouse records was started by DC guitarist Tom Principato. That was one of Margolin's first records. I have it and a great solo release by Mark Wenner (Nighthawks front man and stupendous harp blower) from way back in the day. Don't know if the label is still active or if the albums are out of print. ---------- Ricky B http://www.bushdogblues.blogspot.com RIVER BOTTOM BLUES--crime novel for blues fans available at Amazon/B&N, iTunes, iBook THE DEVIL'S BLUES--ditto HOWLING MOUNTAIN BLUES--Ditto too, now available

Aside from his Chess recordings, my favorite Jimmy Rogers release is Blue Bird on the Analogue Productions label. It is totally bad ass. It features Carey Bell on harmonica.
