The recent talk of 3rd position playing around here got me inspired. A while back, I expressed an interest in getting comfortable in 3rd and someone here (I forget who, but thank you!) recommended I start by learning St. James Infirmary. So I did. Here's what I have so far. Warts and all. I was just happy I got the overblow to pop! I'm new to overblowing.
Sorry about the generally poor audio quality, particularly the strange "ticking" that the mic in my computer makes. The fact that it was raining outside the porch I was playing on probably doesn't help either!
All types of feedback are welcome.

Great feeling! Good tone with a nice vibrato going.
You, like everyone ellse playing this in third ;), need to check your intonation on that whole step three hole bend. It really carries this song in the low octave, know what I mean? You did a good job of that note but keep playing this song and you'll get better and better at controlling that crucial band for low octave third position playing.
Good job! I liked it!
I have a version on my YT in fifth for when you want to explore yet more positions. ---------- Pistolkatt - Pistolkatts youtube
Thanks Pistolcat! Yes... I DO know what you mean! This whole 3rd Position thing has been very telling of how much I need to be mindful of bending precision. Recording myself has also been helpful. I need to do that more.
