WEnt to see a friend's band last night. These guys played so loud I couldn't have a conversation with people sitting next to me.The sax player doubled on harp. There was a pillar in my way, and I couldn't see his amp. On the way to the can I saw it, and couldn't believe my eyes. The amp was tiny, maybe 6x8, but it cut through the cacophony like ringin' a bell. Two loud guitars, bass and a heavy handed drummer failed to make a dent in this little puppy's sound. At the end of the night, I asked him what it was. It was a ZT Lunchbox amp. 200 watts, line out (though he had it miked)and 9 1/2 pounds. I was amazed at the sound that little 61/2" speaker put out. Much less trebley than you'd think. He said he'd paid $200 for it. I couldn't find it for less than $299 on the web. I'm saving my bucks. Once I get it, no more getting eaten alive by guitar players. Check it out.-Greg
I've got a lunch box accoustic. It's a very clean sound, but it can be dirtied a little. I tend to play harp into the instrument input, and using a very cheap stick mic sing ( very very badly ) via the XLR mic input. With the auxiliary input from my iPhone for backing tracks I'm good to go. I only use it at home, and it does most all I want or need. I don't know how well it would hold up alongside amps with bigger speakers capable of moving more air.
