If the world was just black and white then surely there would be no Green or Blue (s)
Often enough you see folks wondering if Blues is a dead end stale subject.
I don't think it has to be
I think this fellow gives a good example that it can have something current to say without beating the same old dead horse.
Or at least enviromental blues for "tree huggers"

I should have named it enviromental blues, or what color you need to be to sing environmental blues or something like that it seems.

I really like Keb Mo's stuff, one of the few who actually has something to say other than my dog ran off with my wife and I'm so blue...

Off hand I would say blues with some kind of reference to current issues is rare indeed...guess it more a genre for folk or country songs.
