Back in the fun days, the camera crew from the tv show "Gunsmoke" would travel around and record fun concerts like this.

at the beginning of the film
the producer said they never did anything like that again. just went back to shooting cowboy films.

now that we get to see the whole clip of george smith
it explains his behavior on juke he was just clowning around. the contol he has of the band is mesmerizing
the audience seems to be in a trance.

George is fantastically awesome, and the chemistry between Big Mama T and...everyone...is killer...her harp is not a patch on George but its not so shabby either...and her vocal delivery...wow...her hound dog clearly puts elvis into the gender-transformed cover version zone, and on Rock Me i was truly destroyed...i swear i havent been drinking...its saturday morning...i didn't drink last night...but i got so emotional listening and watching her perform rock me...i got tears running down my face...what a great video...

I love the way George kicks it up a notch as Mud leaves the stage. Then, Mud realizes what George is doing with the crowd when he;s trying to wind them down and he's having none of it. Mud rushes back on to the stage and snatches the mic' right out of Georges hands and puts the focus back on himself.

I think that by this time George, who had been Muddy's harp side man, had long since had many of his own bands and created his own following out in the LA area. What we are seeing is a rare and not so well veiled butting of the heads of two great blues band leaders.

At least that's the way I see it.
