Hello Folks,
I received the Bluesblast magazine this morning on e-mail and finally got to read about Jason Ricci who is much revered in this forum.
Here's a link to the interview, which I think is outstanding. Mr. Terry Mullins is a fine writer and he has really done a terrific job in exposing us to Mr. Ricci and his diverse story.

Hope this is a good read for Ricci fans as well as for those like me who knew very little about this fine musician.

Agreed! Great interview. I blasted through it quickly, but I don't believe that he said a single word about specific types of harmonicas, amps, or mics. Just his influences, his approach to music-making, the musicians he's got in his current band, his long and winding path (including his fall from sobriety), and his spiritual orientation.

I don't think he uttered a single word about overblows, either.

Great interview.

Thanks for posting that. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Also Adam brings up great points about the interview lacking some of the typical harp geek equipment discussions. I am as guilty as the next person for abscessing over harps and equipment, but really what matters is the music. The equipment is just a tool.
