Song is traditional, musicians play it almost straight adding a modern hip twist.
Harmonica solo shows velocity does not have to shred, but can be captivating, energizing, impressive, and - above all - MUSICAL. ---------- The Iceman

Amen - Carlos is the shit. Now to slow those rifs down and get back to practicing. Great simple (but not easy) patterns and scales to work on. ----------

Few have the elements Carlos has, which is technique, and easy touch, as it were, on the instrument, a strong sense of melodic construction, and a rounded, expressive tone. And speed, of course. I assume he could shred if he wanted to, but there is a lot of that (or at least a lot of players trying to)going on already. He has created his own approach to the blues. ---------- Ted Burke __________________ ted-burke.com tburke4@san.rr.com
I was smiling, and laughing, and having an orgasm simultaneously. What a terrifically musical and playful and evolved piece that was. That guitarist had some serious mojo too. Superlative post! ---------- Facebook
