I just heard that they took him to the hospital last night. I guess he was dehydrated so he was carted in, and had a mild heart attack after he got there. Hope he makes it out alright.

Oh jeez, hope he's okay. I saw him on his 81st(?) birthday and he said they used to play gigs all over the country and world for 330 nights a year! But he said "I'm 81 now, so we have cut that down so I can keep up.....we are only doing about 270 nights a year these days..."

!!! what a legend, haha. Really hope for the best.

I suspect he's been ready for the inevitable for some time now...

His Facebook page announced this morning that he's in home hospice care at his residence in Las Vegas.

The last of the greats. And the best ambassador the blues has ever had

"Blues legend B.B. King is battling health problems, with a message on his website saying the 89-year-old musician is in "home hospice care."

King was admitted to a Las Vegas hospital Thursday afternoon, CNN affiliate KLAS reported, because his daughter, Patty King, said he wasn't eating and was dehydrated.

Tests showed King may have had a minor heart attack, she told KLAS. He was released and went home.

A message posted Friday on his website said: "I am in home hospice care at my residence in Las Vegas. Thanks to all for your well wishes and prayers."
