The Tony Eyers Trio has recorded another tune, "O'Carolan's Quarrel with the Landlady".

O'Carolan's tunes are so good that they basically play themselves. Just as well, as we're making this up as we go. The harmonica trio sound is odd to contemporary ears, which generally expect string instruments for tunes like this.

Hopefully we at least sound OK to harmonica players...

Thanks for posting this. I like the trio. It is similar to a string trio. Instruments of similar timbre but different ranges. The bass harmonica is very nice and really adds to the overall sound.

Thanks also for making me aware of O'Carolan. I did some research and downloaded a few tunes for future study.

It is interesting that O'Carolan was a "Harper". His tunes work well on the harmonica even though it had not emerged in modern form when he wrote them.

Very enjoyable listening. I like harmonica trio music.
