Just added to the mix at next week's Harmonica Collective: An evening seminar on harmonica combs from Tom Halchak, master comb builder at Blue Moon Harmonicas. He's titling it: Everything you wanted to know about custom combs but were afraid to ask.

Tom offers some explanation: What's the story with custom combs?  Do they really make a difference in the way a harp plays?  The short answer is, "Yes - a custom comb CAN make a very positive difference in the way a harp plays - but it is not a panacea."  Blue Moon Harmonicas has been in business for over four years.  The positive feedback received from hundreds of satisfied customers all over the world tells the story.  Its a good story.  Want to hear it?  Join us for a relaxed converation.  Tom Halchak will tell you all about how it got started, where he came from, where he is now and where he is going.  He'll answer your questions and let you try his products.

Just a little background to let you know where I am coming from.  I'm sure you know that I didn't invent the concept of custom combs.  I merely observed that there was a huge demand for a reliable source of quality custom combs and so I decided to put my toe in the water about 4+ years ago.  I literally got swept away by the current.  Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that it would take off like this.  I have never once sold a comb by promising that it would make your harp play better or make you a better harmonica player.  I only say that they are well made and if you don't like it I'll give you your money back.  I am absolutely committed tot he highest quality and to exceptional customer service.  The success of Blue Moon is simply a reflection of the market.  It is beyond market acceptance.  It is Market Insistence.  It's not like I invented a new operating system for a PC.  It's a harmonica comb.  I think timing has a lot to do with it.  In my estimation, the harmonica is more popular today than every.  The Internet and specifically YouTube has placed an amazing amount of information at our fingertips and is propelling the industry forward like a tsunami.  I'm just riding the wave.  Surf's up!
