I have a Harpgear HG50. I turned it off and quickly turned it back on and it never came back on. The local amp repair shop can't get in touch with Harpgear for info on the amp. He needs schematics, he is saying something about a 2 amp fuse and it's not getting enough power and really needs to speak to someone who know's about the amp otherwise he just thinks it's a design flaw and not sure what to do about it.

Anyone have schematics on this? If so email me onsetmusic@gmail

Thanks

Have you checked the fuse?

A good tech doesn't need a schematic! Any good tech could troubleshoot and repair that amp without a schematic.

I think your tech is pulling your leg because he doesn't have knowledge of amp circuits.
We have a shop like that here in Reno.

Any tech that tells you they can't fix your amp without a schematic, find another tech!

A schematic is handy when a tech wants to look at an amp in its original design to make sure its stock or bring it back to stock.

Not a design flaw, I have seen this happen before. Tube amps don't like being turned off then on quickly. Don't know exact problem but the power supply/OT, would be suspect. I do agree with Harpaholic. Contact HG and see if they have a good tech near you or send them the chassis.

I had a similar problem with my harpgear, it used to blow all the time when I turned it on.

It took me a while to figure out that I was using the wrong type of fuse, it fixed it's self when I started using slow blow fuses.

Well for a start I agree with Harpaholic. Find another tech as this one sounds about as much use as a chocolate teapot. I'd also suggest emailing Brian Purdy yourself. I've always found him to be very helpful. I also agree you should try slow blow fuses.
