Hi again. Been practicing my blow bends the last couple of days and I'm having a bit of an issue. Did try to search for the answer but I can't seem to find it. After blow bending 7 or 8 I find that the draw on those holes can then choke really easily and pretty solidly. What am I doing wrong? Is my blow bend too aggressive or maybe I'm doing it wrong ? Thanks guys...

Blow bending 7 doesn't get you much more than a 1/4 tone plus a smidgeon, so please don't be aggressive here or you will fatigue the reed.
8 works ok, but the sticky reed may be from bending "through the floor", which instigates the draw reed to vibrating so much that it hangs up.
First I would back off on the extreme technique.
If this doesn't work, you may have to work on gapping and centering to resolve the issue. ---------- The Iceman

What Iceman said...you're either blowing/drawing too hard or with too much saliva.
It sounds like, if it is an out of the box harp, it is gapped pretty solid though, so you got that going for you. ---------- Mike My Website My Harmonica Effects Blog

Ok that makes sense. I was trying to be gentle with the technique but it was probably still a bit rough. I'll back off a bit before toying with gapping. I'm not the best at delicate engineering! Thanks!
