It's nice to return to an old love every now and then and just play the blues. After all kinds of musical monstrosities and Arabic experiments it can really clear your mind. These clips are from a roots-workshop type of gig I had last week in Helsinki.
Here's a slightly Mali-influenced version of Skip James' old song. One of my all-time favorites for sure. The echoing space added a nice feel to the sound.
And here's a solo tune of my own composition with a top-notch Spiers harp. Notice that the harp can be played with fingerpicks, too!
And finally, some Death Letter with harp. My rack technique is still a bit half-ass, but I'm trying to get past that.
