Six of us from The Harmonica Club of Huntington, WV made a 2 hour trip to hear Jason Ricci and his band play at Calacino’s in Beckley, WV on March 18. Here’s what you need to know:

The ladies were dancing.
The people were hollering.

There’s no need to be said anything else. He had the whole place jumping. For a guaranteed good time, catch Jason if he comes by. His music is so much more than just blues. If you like good music and you wanna jive, go see Jason.

My name is Bluemoose...and I approve of this message! You gotta see Jason live. If at all possible.

Agreed! Seeing Jason live will give you a greater appreciation of him and our tiny little instrument.

Saw him in Orlando, last Saturday night. Have to agree with everyone above. Jason owned the stage, but let everyone in the band share in the spotlight. He does give his all to the performance. In Florida for the rest of this week.

One word of warning about seeing Jason, especially if you're a harp player: its exhausting. Jason plays 20 minute solos, just blowing your mind about every minute. He commands your attention. Constantly. You can't relax, you're concentrating on the sounds he's making. And when you're trying to figure out just how he did that last lick, he does something else that blows your mind. Then he takes a 20 minute break, and his band does the same thing to you. I commend whoever drove the two hours home after that show.

Great to hear, wish I could be at one of his venues. Any chance of coming to the UK Jason, or at least beaming over a hologram?
