Sad to report that Richard Innes has passed away. As yet I don't know any details of the cause of his death. For those of you who don't know. Richard Innes was one of the best blues drummers in the business and he has backed a lot (if not all) of the top harp players around. His passing is a sad loss to the blues world of yet another talented musician. RIP Richard Innes.

Been listening to him for as long as I've been active in the blues scene. One of my all-time favourite blues drummers. Right up there with Fred Below and SP Leary IMO.
A great loss to the blues scene.

Terrible news.

Perfect blues drummer, to my ears.

I've seen a fair share of great blues drummers over the years and Richard Innes was definitely one of the very best in the business. He defintely will be missed. If you REALLY knew about blues and what TRULY good blues drumming is all about, you most certainly would know who he was.
