I have just bought a brand new valve amp which is capable of 100 watts output.
It is an unreleased Strauss, which were once made here in Australia. I will be fitting 4 x 6L6's and 4 x ECC82's valves. It also did not come with any speakers and I have a new pair of both Eminence Lil' Buddy 10" and Eminence 12" Cannabis Rex.
My question is, which pair would you fit and why?

One of each, but no one knows until you try them.
Its purely speculation.

All 12AU7's? Not something I would do!

Ditto harpaholic.

Is this one of the originals or one of the more recent imported by Jade amps, with the Strauss nameplate attached?

That much wattage may need all 4 speakers. I'd try a 12au in p3 first, and maybe one in p2 if needed. Other than that it's anybody's guess.

Superbee, this is a late model from Jade and has never been released. Yes I know about the transformer problems and I'll keep an eye on that.
The speakers are all rated at 50w and the cutouts are for 2 x 12", but it's easy enough to make the 10's fit.
Looks like getting here on Tuesday, so let the fun begin.
I was tempted into buy this as I already have a full valve 30w Strauss and absolutely love it. Super rich sound, lovely overdrive and even the original 12" speaker works just fine.
