Cool! Very nice, light touch and sweet tone on the soloing, Sammy. One little thing, if you just gotta do some housekeeping while laying out, then move your butt or bob your head to the beat, make it look like you're not just waiting for the bus. Look at what the piano player does for you, groovin' an' a boppin', while you do your intro.

Good to hear you again, Sam! Do you work on your harps? Can't remember if you did or not after meeting you a few years ago at Virginia Beach.

In any case, nice arrangement and great little group there. Really liked the descending run down from the 6 draw at about 3:13. Is it like -6 -6 +6 +6 5ob 5ob +5 +5 -4 -4 +4 +4 (basically a 2nd position major doubled up?)

Also really liked the way you kind of let your notes die off at the end of some phrases. It was a nice touch.

+1 on the stage presence--never forget it's theatre . . .

Nice to hear you work the whole harp--the acoustic sound of the top end of a diatonic harmonica can be a bit shrill for some listeners . . .

And it takes a bit of guessing to figure out who is singing--group sing might have been better (or not, but I am used to hearing this song with a bunch of {not necessarily in tune} male voices singing along on the {especially} first and last line).

All in all, much finesse on the harp--sounds like Modern Blues to me!

Sam,
Amazing play. That is fantastic.
Really really well done.
You are without a doubt one of the finer players out there and I like that you are not confined to 4 draw bend and wail. Interesting stuff on the high end.

All the guys on that stage are great and this is a very entertaining piece.
