Must be because I live in Australia as I have not seen anyone complain about this before.
My problem is that when I attempt to post and enter the code, my post will not load. It gets to a point but then stops.
I have tried to resend but this does not work either, so I have learned to copy my post, do it again with another code, and BINGO. No problem.
This is not isolated, it happens every time. Is there a fix for this?

You have to type the code and hit enter within 10 seconds. Greg complained about this once before. Seems to work,

I don't know about 10 seconds...

The code times out after 15 minutes, which, if you tab browse or are reading a long thread is pretty easy to run into. If you backpage or refresh you can usually get a new one.

Occasionally the forum gets glitchy and this doesn't work, but see if thats the issue. If it's not we can put in a support ticket.

You can also occasionally get hit by the spam filter. At that point, your post won't post until we get to the spam filter (once per day) and reset it.

Yes, this happens quite often to me, accessing with my iphone. Sometimes while posting it just freezes, then closes Safari.

Here are a couple of tips that you might find useful. The issue we all deal with is that during the time it takes to read a thread or perhaps watch a video that has been posted, the captcha has timed out. So when you add your thoughts and attempt to use that captcha it won’t work. It can be very frustrating to compose a thoughtful, perhaps profound post, only to have it disappear into cyberspace because the captcha has timed out. Fear not! Your brilliant message has not been lost. Just hit the back arrow and voila - your post is still there and a new captcha has appeared. This is true even on your cell phone.
Also, if I am going to post something that requires precise thoughtful language, I compose it Word first, spell-check it, edit the grammar, then copy and paste onto MBH.

bluemoose is correct. the back arrow thing doesn't work, or works only in certain browsers.

My problem is that I have such great difficulty deciphering the codes themselves. Many if not most times the case of one or two characters is totally indeterminate. The size of the characters is so random as to completely obfuscate the meaning of the code. I always have to guess and I have a poor success rate, say 1 in 10. So yes, I ALWAYS copy.

It's a real pain. I can't tell you how much time I've wasted composing a long, detailed post only to have the spam protection code send my work to the "bit bucket" because in my enthusiasm to post I forgot how confounding the spam code process is and fail to copy.

If Dirty South weren't so content-rich I wouldn't put up with it! I'd have said goodbye to any other forum long ago. It's simply bad technology, especially in this day and age.

Enough said. (And yes, I copied this message too and I'm glad I did because as usual my guess at the code was wrong...)

and isn't it so satisfying when you have a clip board copy squirreled safely away and you can say, "HA! Captcha, you empty-headed animal food trough wiper! I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries! " and causally press Ctrl-v.....:)
