I think his first name was James, but he went by Killer Kane. He considered himself a drummer first, but played a mean harp. I knew him when he was with Ken Lyon and the Tombstone Blues Band back in the late '80's, early '90's in New England. He had a problem with his ears (Meneir's disease possibly?).
Anyone know what became of him?

Thanks! I had done a Google search, but they were buried back about 3 pages. I'm glad to see he can still perform. When I knew him, he thought his illness would make him deaf in a couple years.

I first saw this guy at a Blues Fest somewhere in Massachusettes. It was a festival type setting, and between acts you could hear different harp players in the audience. I'd wander over to them and say hello. When the Tombstone Band played, Killer did Whammer Jammer, and did the best version I'd ever heard. Everyone was on their feet. Then he did Orange Blossom Special, and it was the first time I had ever heard that song. I looked around at all the other harp players, and we were all just standing there with our jaws dropped.
