Has anyone used a Vox VT30 Valvetronix amp. Just bought one second hand on a whim, yet to try it out. Any comment or recommendation to adapt for harp, or what settings to use would be welcome.

Thanks for posting organzab, some really good demos. I'd also like to hear from anyone that has used it and has recommendations for some settings, either way reckon I'll have some fun with it.

Wow that Vox sounds pretty good. Who is the demonstrator ? He is bad ass and would probably make a lot of amps sound good.

Taking the clip back to Youtube leads me to conclude that Brandon Bailey is the "Demonstrator".

A worthy endorsement, but I would be surprised if any amp sounded bad with BB playing through it. Your results my vary. Still, he shopped around, then bought one. I would say it's probably a keeper.

Agreed Heathen. It's like harpsucker on YT. He can't make any amp sound bad.

I've used a VT30 as my gigging amp for years now. It's a great amp, and I love the sounds I get out of it. I mostly use the AC30HH amp model, with a little slap back delay or chorus, maybe some compression. Have recently been playing with the "Super 4x10" model, which cuts through the mix a little better. I generally have gain around 4, volume at 9, master at 7, and use the volume control on my Ultimate 545 to control it. I play through a Squeal Killer as well, which helps tame any feedback issues.

I've posted various videos here using it, but my meager tone doesn't do it justice at all. When I've had other harp players use it, the sound is amazing.

It will hold its own with a loud band, but if they get obnoxious, you can be buried easily.

Note: do not even try to play with any of the builtin presets unless you're fond of shrieking howling feedback at any volume. they're really meant for guitar heroes.

here's a sample from a recent jam. the amp is behind me, with the cartoon image on it.
