What a great line up. I hope the performers do well.

Personally I would never attend this type thing because , to me , it just seems wrong.
Music born in slave ships now on yuppie boats.

However that is just my worthless opinion

Where your analogy evaporates is the fact that on the cruise, all of the musicians are paid well and are highly respected by everyone on the boat.

That's like saying that one will not fly with Arabs because they allegedly flew planes into the buildings on 9/11.

As a former Federal Officer ( retired ) I would not fly with Arabs either.
The musicians are treated well- the maids , black gang, portes etc are treated like crap ( they do get paid well ) and the ships do not fly a US flag so they avoid taxes and union rules.
Just me- I live in the cruise ship capital of the world
Not a judgement everybody has their on moral code

Enjoy the cruise

It's an extraordinary lineup--and harp-heavy, too.

Having just seen Mr. Sipp in Midland, TX and having stood two feet away from him on stage later that evening as he duckwalked into the jam-session crowd, I'm here to tell you: He may look and dress like Steve Urkel, but he is a phenomenal live performer. He just might be the next B. B. King. That's not obvious from his YouTube clips, but he is truly a major-league performer. He had 20 years on the gospel scene under his real name, so even though he seems "new," he's actually a seasoned pro coming straight out of black church and R&B scene. Google "Castro Coleman." It's like he's an entirely different guy on that side of the tracks. But he's no pretender. He's the real thing. He can stand up there with any blues guitarist in the world. He can sing his ass off. He can peform his ass off.

Here he is a few years ago, before he played the blues. He literally started playing the blues in 2011.

Here's another. It's hard to me to put Mr. Sipp together with this guy. Mr. Sipp dresses intentionally dorky, not hip. But it's the same guy.

Here he is in his hard hip-hop phase, as Mr. Sipp, but before he added the "Mississippi Blues-child" line. This was uploaded to the Vibe magazine channel in the fall of 2011. He moved from gospel and hip-hop into blues--and that's where he's exploded onto the scene. But he's had a hell of a lot of showbusiness experience:

@ Atty-choo-choo

Whenever you type anything, it all too often resembles 'flying with arabs'.
