Hi Folks,
I've just had the Honkin' Tom's Super Chump amp reviewed by British Blues Award nominee and UK harmonica man on the scene Mr Will Wilde.
I was just wondering what you guys think of it?

Sounds good, not as crunchy as some of the latest offerings, to my ears. I personally prefer a cleaner tone.
5 W amps are not my thing. For home practice, one needs a 1/2 W amp. For stage, one needs a 15-50 W amp. JMO of course...BN

That's a 10" right? Sounds like a decent unit. I like WW as a player, and heard good reports of his lessons. For certain stages I agree BN. But there are plenty where a 5watt is just fine, especially with a 10". I saw a guy the other day cutting it nicely using a valve jr head through a mixed quad in a band featuring some very solid players on the Brisbane scene. Horses for courses though. There was a time I couldn't hear 30watts through a 12" on stage. My 5w 8" combo wouldn't even feedback loudly enough to annoy anyone on that stage. Lately I've been waking in the night, certain there was a tap left running. I just discovered I can still hear it when I block my ears.

Yep, it's a 10". Here is another clip where Will Wilde gets a bit carried away. It's great!
