Can I do this? How do I do it on a PC? Thanks! It is a harmonica video of myself, so I guess on topic.

Try Realplayer. I use the free version. Some tech heads might have better knowledge than me but that's what I use.

I have used jdownloader (free) for years, but the current version installs adware/spyware unless you are very careful during the installation process. Read about this in the jdownloader forums. If you are not computer savvy, don't bother trying to install it. If you are (i.e. you know how to avoid installation of unwanted programs)it is a great program for downloading YouTube videos.

I haven't used this one, but it has great reviews on download.com--
YouTube Downloader
Unfortunately, it has only a 10 day free trial, after that you must pay $30 to keep it working. Read the reviews on download.com, and make up your mind.

Good luck, and tell us how it works out.

I download YouTube Videos all the time, and save them. I am talking about classic blues concerts. Not too long ago, YouTube videos were limited to five or ten minutes. Now, you can get one and two hour videos.

I like this.

There are a handful of free "youtube download" extensions for Firefox and Chrome. They all work the same way - when you play a video on its YouTube page, an extra tab appears on the bottom which allows you to download it in various formats. I usually pick MP4.

Sometimes, Youtube will change their inner workings and one of the extensions will stop working for a while, but at any given time over the past few years, I have always been able to download a YouTube (or vimeo, or most others) video in a click using one of these extensions or another.

If the video is on your YouTube channel, open "video manager" - and I think it's the edit button you press and there will be a list of options and one will be to down load the video to your computer :)

I use Firefox and I don't see that. There are a couple of on line sites that I use to convert to mp3 and download the file, no need to download software to your computer. The down side is you can't download files longer than 20 min.

Try searching the web instead of using the built-in extension browser. I'm not running firefox at the moment but here's one that I used to use when I did:

They all mostly work the same. They add a little "Download" tab under the video. I have downloaded full-length (2 hour) videos this way.

KeepVid

Just go to the site, paste in the address of the Youtube video you want, and within a couple of seconds you're presented with a whole host of download links as shown below.

You can download the complete video in a number of different sizes and formats. If you only want the audio, or just the video, that's catered for too. Grabbing just the audio means you end up with a track that you can copy to your iPod, smartphone or other music player. Gizmo

Works perfectly :)
