Two weeks ago as the emails confining rehearsal schedule for our brass quintet were going around, one comes in from the trumpet player saying he can't make it, he is in a bomb shelter in Tel Aviv!. None of the other quintet members even knew he was going! The next week we hear that he made it from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem during the cease fire. Today we got an email from him stating he was on the last plane the FAA allowed out of Isreal. It was on the tarmac when the shut down order came and was allowed to proceed. Incoming aircraft were diverted to other locations.
It looks like he will be able to make rehearsal this Friday. It will be interesting to hear his experiences. I am glad he made it home safely.

StME58, please don't bother with posting any updates, this is a pretty hot topic to say the least, the forum members surely will have many and varied opinions about what is happening over there and the M.B.H. Forum is not a good place for such a discussion.
Sincerely Michael S. Mitchell
