To my knowledge, the first time they have ever played together. *** Play in HD for best quality.

Billy Branch and The Siegel-Schwall Band perform "Good Morning Little School Girl" at the Chicago Blues Festival's Centennial Celebration of John Lee "Sonny Boy" Williamson on June 14, 2014 at the Petrillo Music Shell, Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois.

Billy Branch - harmonica and vocals
Corky Siegel - keyboards
Jim Schwall - guitar
Rollo Radford - bass
Sambo Irby - drums

Billy sure plays with fire. His harmonica playing is very accessible to most on this list - nothing too fancy, but powerful nonetheless.

I love Siegel-Schwall, but this sounded a bit "noisier" than usual for this band.

My my. We seem to be getting "beefier" as we age...

I think Billy was trying to be traditional and not fancy because it was a tribute.

Regarding the sound, that was going on a bit on Friday at the main stage, the drums were way loud all of the time. The last time I saw the band prior to the Fest, I asked Jim Schwall about the volume, and he told me that they don't like it loud. But it looked like he enjoyed the volume on his guitar this night anyway. :)The sound check for this show was about two hours long for all of the performers that night, so there must have been some discussion, but I think they set it loud for Otis Taylor and left it that way.

Actually, the video is deceiving. Billy has gotten quite skinnier. I was with him over the weekend at the Festival and he is in great condition. I think it was the color contrast of the clothing. But you're right, everyone puts on the pounds over time.
