Here's a photo of Muddy Waters at the 1969 Ann Arbor Blues Festival I found on Facebook, Paul Oscher is playing harp. I can trace Oscher's light gray mic cable to that tall amp with the black-gray grill screen, identical to the one sitting next to it. In other pictures of that show, all the amps Muddy's band is using are the same.
What kind of amp is it, though?

He had it posted on Harp-L for sale in 2010-
Paul Oscher is selling his 1968 guild thunderbird amp and wanted me to post it here on Harp L for him .
Hey Todd,
I was wondering if you are on the harp l . could you post something about me selling that 1968 guild thunderbird amp maybe I could find a buyer there .
I'm asking $2,500 . -the amp is in very good condition it has 2 x 12inch speakers. great harp and guitar sound. its the same model that muddy used .when I was in the band. let them know its on consignment at Timewarp Music, Venice CA (323) 600-5050 .They could check it out there.

Guild! You never hear about Guild amps, anyway I never have. I remember Guild from when I was a kid, though, I had a friend who played a Guild acoustic guitar. ---------- Call me J

There were several Guild Thunderbirds and what you see in that picture is the larger one that had a 10 and a 12 inch speaker and Paul had that for many years. They got it at a time when Muddy Waters had an endorsement deal with Guild and Guild outfitted the entire ban with guitars, basses and amplifiers at the time.
There is a smaller version of the amp, but the bigger one was the better of the two for harp, but if memory serves me correct, it was on the heavy side. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte
