As a teen, I figured out I could play popular music, not just mary had a little lamb... my mom must have listened to me play willie and the poor boys a hundred times! she also got me into piano lessons so there is a bit of theory left in my brain as well.. here's to moms!

My Mom took piano lessons for 20 yrs. Practiced several times a week. She could read and play the notes but never really was able to find musicality.
I would sit at the piano and pick out songs. Never took any lessons and never learned to play well. But, looking back, that was an inspiration to me. That and a love of music helped me grasp the harmonica.
Hat's off to Mom's everywhere...BN
