It's come time for me to repossess an amp.
It's a Laquered tweed with an alnico Jensen. (Edit: P12N I believe)

I haven't closely inspected it, but there's no obvious damage. Maybe some stains on the tweed. I may not get the foot switch, doubt I'll get the vinyl cover.
I'm wondering whether it's worth trying to sell. I'm thinking I might get $600 for the amp but I haven't managed to find any recent sales of similar amps.
I've blown harp to it and it sounds good but volume very touchy.
I'm wondering whether it's best to just move it on and get the $, or keep it and see what use I can make of it. It would be loud enough I expect
I'm thinking if I can't get at least 600, maybe it's as well to keep it. Most expensive amp I've ever bought.
So my question is, how much is a 2010 model lacquered tweed Fender HotRod Deluxe with a 12" Jensen alnico worth, in good condition?

Well Supe, I'm North of Pittsburgh PA. There are a lot of 2x12 DeVilles here. The HR Deluxe is somewhat Rarer. The early Blues Deluxe is getting the most money. Your $600.00 US value is a pretty good estimate for that amp at 4 yrs old. IMO
I think if you want a big amp, that one will work for you just fine. You can replace the volume and master pots with CTS audio taper pots to calm down the touchiness and find the sweet spot more easily. I think Fender has audio taper pots that are amp specific also, these go right in. There is a lot of info on the web about the HR series. These are a PITA to work on. The main problem, if it acts up, is poor solder joints on the printed circuit boards. There are also a couple of resistors that run hot and tend to unsolder themselves. the input jacks are fragile and must be respected. These are good amps though and if you get one that is good it will serve you for many yrs. You will probably prefer the clean channel for harp. I have never modded one for harp so I can't help much there. I have played a 4x10 DeVille live and found it to be pretty awesome. Used the clean channel which is very similar to yours. Contact 5F6H, Mark is the authority on all things Fender for harp. Hope I was helpful. Cheers...Goose
