I recently got a Gazell method Seydel session steel and I got say I love this harmonica. I have half valved several golden melody harmonicas and a big river myself using the valving that isaacullah demonstrated in his youtube video (thanks a lot for that information by the way isaacullah). The harps I've done myself work pretty well, but the Gazell session just plays a little easier and to my ears sounds closer to a non-valved diatonic than the ones I've done myself. Personally I prefer half valved playing to OB’s; partially because the note layout makes more sense to me, partially because I find the notes easier to get and partially because I can bend in/out of all the notes.
I have no affiliation with PT Gazell or Seydel, but I thought I would mention that I really am enjoying the Gazell method harmonica. Half valving doesn't get as much attention as overblowing, but I think everyone should give it a shot at one time or another. You might just get the bug as I have.
