Wow! Thanks for sharing Greg. Truly talented indeed.

I saw Clapton a few years back in Nashville. He called Vince Gill out to jam on some blues. Vince played electric and acoustic both...as fine a guitar blues as I ever heard.

For years you've been hearing that harp players are not welcome at bluegrass jams. If you keep it short, clean, and simple ,like Scruggs, you'll be welcome with open arms....sometimes... That is the best bluegrass lesson you'll ever learn.

Harmonica and Bluegrass? Meet Cara Cooke - who performs regularly and teaches this very subject every year at SPAH.

Cara is a fellow Texan and quite talented harp player, especially in bluegrass.

Usually, I must confess, when I watch American musical entertainment shows where we are promised a lot of "stars"/celebrities I switch off. "Too many stars"; it holds no intrinsic value for me.

This one, however, was pure joy and all about the music and I thank Greg for bringing it up. (Jerry Douglas“ solo ...)

Breathtaking stuff!

I reckon it's Paul Schaffer who pulled these folks together. Here it is live:

There are a number of times Steve Martin performed Foggy Mountain Breakdown with Earl Scruggs on Letterman. I guess it just kept getting bigger and bigger over the years. Here's an earlier performance:

Speaking of Bluegrass and Harmonica, let's not forget fellow Canadian Mike Stevens. He wrote the book on the subject.
