Might anyone have a good link/video to send me to about cleaning Chroms? I inherited a Hohner Chrom 260 that works perfectly but is old and smells like an old book. I would love to play it but not smelling like that! ---------- "Bend it like Ricci" - Me

They say ozone will kill the smell. You might consider taking it apart, and cleaning each part separately--that's what I did (my first encounter with the 260 was when John Frazer gave me a box of broken ones, and I refurbished and put them together again).

I'll definitely be taking it apart and cleaning the parts. It's a wood comb so I was thinking the smell was in the comb mostly. ---------- "Bend it like Ricci" - Me

Being from a family member i'd like to keep it as original as possible. I also need a replacement button for the slide. ---------- "Bend it like Ricci" - Me

Like Gnarly says, Mike Easton is the man to talk too. Mike will be able to sort you out with a new comb and a slide. He'll probably also give you some great tips on cleaning the harp if you ask him nicely.
