Last night at the end of our gig at Blind Willies we were told by House Rocker Johnson that he just got a call and that Chick Willis had passed on! Chick played the club for many years and always put on a great show and was a real pleasure to work with. He will be missed by all of us. I had the great opportunity to record with him on Harp a few times and my favorite recording I did with him and one I loved playing with him Live was the Lightnin' Hopkins song Hello Central. I will try to include a link to it after the post. RIP Chick Willis!

Thanks for posting Albey. Great tune. Big loss for Atlanta. Chick was so nice and and supportive from my very first step into Atlanta blues music. In additon to being a unique and dynamic "old school" performer who was super fun to watch, Chick was a pleasure to play with. I am sure we have both played 15 minute versions of "Stoop Down baby" and loved every minute of it. He will be missed.
RIP Chick
