So I'm not giving in and buying an amp that doesn't fit with my current needs. But I might upgrade the 10 inch speaker I have in a spare guitar cabinet and use it for harp. The question is can a very efficient speaker like a Lil Buddy be so loud that I'll end up with a sound that's too clean at the volume levels I'm used to from the Italian P10R that's in it now. Also considering a Warehouse Veteran 10 for speaker rattiness though its treble might be off putting. Thanks for any input or suggestions.

My main concern would be the frequency response.
P10R lacks some meaty mids and Lil Buddy lacks high end.
If your amp is design to push harder low mids to compensate P10R weakness, you may not be able to take advantage from the better SPL from Lil Buddy, because it can result in a dull tone. If your amp tame some high end, Lil Buddy may not be a good choice.

I had a lil buddy in my VHt and ended up swapping it out for a vintage smooth cone Jensen. Did I like the ill buddy? Yes, but it did not have the break up I was looking for. It's a mello and smooth speaker and it's loud. It has good bass. I also have a ill buddy in my mission 32-20which is complemented by a new Jensen p10q smooth cone. I like the combination of the two speakers. It depends whatyou're looking for. ImAlso tried a Jensen p10r, which did not have the sound I was looking for either in a single cab.
