Is the top chrome control panel ( plate ) removable from the main chassis after I have removed all the retainer nuts from the knobs and switches. My main modded amps control panel decals have worn off and I have a hard time reading them in anything but very good light. I have another DeVille that has a very clean panel. Would like to swap them. I have been told it may be spot welded or glued onto the main chassis. Any help out there ?

I think it's a plate held on by the nuts on the controls and jacks. Been a few years though...
