Off to see Jackson Kincheloe's band, Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds--he plays harp, it's a eight piece band with three horns--It's good to be back in San Diego!

I almost saw them in Ft. Worth last year. I say almost because, as I was about to leave work I gave 1 last look at Craigslist and there it was. An Epiphone Devon for $100. With 3 hours to kill, I decided to go take a look at the amp. I gave him $60 for it, which happened to be my ticket fund for the evening and all I had on me. I intend to see them next time they come to town.
How was the show?

I love Sister Sparrow And The Dirty Birds. Being in the UK, I'll probably never get to see them live. Kudos.
This is my personal fav.

@Stevelegh. I would not bet against them being in the UK. If you check out their website you will see that they are booked for about 15+ shows per month - about 150-200 a year. They have very good management. It would not surprise me at all to see them cross the pond in the not-too-distant future. ---------- Tom Halchak www.BlueMoonHarmonicas.com

this is my current favorite band...with a fantastic singer and arrangements, they would be great without Jackson - but with him they are great to a whole nuther level of awesome-ness for harp players. BTW, he likes to go by kin-CHELL-o

That's so funny--I told florida-trader on the phone last week that I was going to start calling him that, we had a good chuckle--and now it seems I was right! I made up for that night before last by calling him Jason--hey, maybe it's a compliment 8)
