I owned one of those for about a year. It was the MBH communal amp. At least, three of us here had owned that amp.

A video hanging in the living room...
Here's a video of the Mini Meat in action with the turd of a mic, the Shure 520DX.
I had a lot of fun with that amp.

Fascinating amp. Two questions. 1) Can I assume the comments above refer to forum members who have owned similar amps but not necessarily this particular amp? 2) Any comments about the speaker choices now in this amp? Thanks for any assistance!

#1- Yes-those comments do NOT refer to this particular amp-it will sound different with that tube and speaker combo-better? who knows-
#2-Excellent speaker choice-

I owned the red one Joe is playing at one time as well as a Mini 15. I found better options for speakers in the mini meat. A vintage C10 Q is what I used as well as 2 Jensen RI P8R's. The stock Webers are too dark for my taste. Your better off contacting the seller of the mini meat, he will be glad to answer any ?? you have.

Right on TMF. I have known the seller a decade. He has a real good ear. I have not blown thru this particular amp. But I have listened to him in minutia detail regarding all the speakers, tubes he has tried in the amp to get it 'right'... If I had the dough it would be mine, plain and simple.

After owning the large Meteor, I purchased one of these. I later sent it back to Scott to get the 15" speaker swap. The 15" sounds much better than the 10" and 2-8" speakers. IMHO this is the best amp out there, and I've had several harp specific amps.

No tweedaddict: My semantics were messy: I meant to ask if the Mini I demoed in my youtube video was the same as the one Joe and Harpoholic owned. And apparently the three of us are indeed "amp-brothers".....Off to my gig now which I will (ironically) play through the PA! Good luck to the seller... Scott (the builder) is a terrific guy. d ---------- Facebook

New owner here. Good seller and I believe fair and equitable deal for both sides. The vintage Jensen's were very appealing. The RCA power tubes are highly sought by some, particularly our guitar playing brothers and sisters. And serial #1 might some day mean something. May not play enough venues to max out the amps potential but like other works of art there's an inspirational mojo that's worth something to me.
