Well, this is my story:

I play live every week in small clubs and I need a small amp for live shows and home practicing. I'm thinking about buying a small 5W tube amp and installing a line out jack or just miking it through the PA.

The other day I saw in a guitar forum an Ibanez TSA5 amp, which is a small two-channel tube amp with a tube screamer overdrive effect built in. Most of guitar player's reviews says this is an awful amp, but there's no review from harmonica players. The guy is selling it pretty cheap, but I just can't try it, because I live 700 miles away from him. So I wanna ask you for any information about it.

I use a Shure Green Bullet with a CM element, and I tongue block 60% of the time.

Specs:
5 Watts
1x 12ax7 + 1x 6v6 tubes
1x10 speaker

Thanks in advanced for your help!

I've never played one before either, and I've not heard any other harp player say he has. In my estimation though, it might be fairly harp friendly. It would appear to be similar to a Special 6 or Special 6 Ultra. So essentially a modified Champ circuit.

One thing I would stress however....NO harp player should use the Tube Screamer function on it. A gain overdrive will almost certainly lead to a feedback frenzy with a mic in the jack.
