I gather from some recent postings on Facebook that Bill Wax and Bluesville have parted ways. Bill apparently released a statement saying that he'd left for health reasons and, additionally, because he and Bluesville management no longer saw things quite the same way.
Does anybody know what's going on? When I went to Bluesville's website just now to find out who had replaced him, he's still on the roster:

I don't know about this, but about a month ago I was talking to Bill about how the majority of XM stations have changed, and that I wasn't go to renew my subscription. He seemed to be on board with my complaints about stupid promos and inane DJ's. It sounded like he wasn't too happy there.

Read this the other day....
Dear All – This will be my final play list for B.B. King’s Bluesville. I am leaving the company both for health reasons and also because this is no longer a good fit. I want to thank all of you for your support of us and the Blues. It has been a great ride and a privilege to work on this channel for the past 13 years.
I wish you all the very best and look forward to seeing you at shows and musical events.

Wow, too bad. I'm not renewing either because recently it has become the rock/blues channel. They have been playing a ton of rock stuff that I guess they think is blues related. I wonder if BB is the next one to leave?

I will miss Bill Wax. I'd like to know the rest of the story....
I will echo ej's comments about the recent trend toward rock and away from blues. Not a trend I enjoy.

Thanks Adam for posting this. I didnt know. This guy does a lot for our music and he was also very good to a Moon Cat. Hope he finds an even cooler new job and stays healthy.

OMG! I almost renewed my sub. Not without Bill oh no. Not with out Mr. Blues, Mr. Bill Wax. This is very disturbing to say the least. Thanks for the info.

I've been missing Bill Wax for a couple of weeks on Bluesville. Leave it to management to replace him with pre-recorded liners. Bring back a knowledgeable live voice!
