Walter's Boogie from the Can't Stop Lovin' You album. Hands down, that is where you want to go. The rest are all sort of variations. He really nails it on that album. Here is some notes you may find useful.

Ok...as somewhat of a newbie to the whole Blues/Harmonica genre, I hope all you Big Walter "Shakey" Horton oficionados can clear this up.

I see the same song labeled as 'Walter's Boogie' and 'Shakey's Blues'...so, what's up? Which is correct..or are they both correct? I love the harp work but I'm forever confused on what the dang song is called! ;) Thanks! (I really love this forum!!!!!)

Turns out the album is called Can't Keep Lovin' You, which is why I was having a hard time finding it.

They are the same song. You have Big Walter Horton whose nickname was "Shakey Horton." So when you hear Shakey Horton or Big Walter Horton, know we are talking about the same person.

@AZBluesHarper: There are also versions titled "Rockin' My Boogie" and even "Little Walter's Boogie".

Maybe the confusion is caused by Horton's other nickname, "Mumbles".

@Afroblue: No worries. Thanks for the heads up on the record.

@Afro-thanks for the shout back.

Yes, I know that Walter Horton's nicknames were Big Walter Horton or Shakey Horton, et al...my question was specifically about why the same song is labeled across YouTube as both 'Walter's Boogie' AND 'Shakey's Blues'? Anyone? :)

I always liked the early Sun Records stuff.I think that would be the earliest version of his his boogie.I downloaded a version from Sun titled "little walter's boogie".I think he went by mumbles at that time.It has been hard for me to get a good collection of his work.

Holy crap Joe. That kind of blew my mind. I figured it as an original, but that was undeniable.

Very cool.
